Sometimes people ask me if I use a computer to create my artwork. I often reply that I’m kind of old fashioned and prefer to use a stick with some hairs glued on it – in other words, a paintbrush. Not that I don’t appreciate the beautiful images that can be created with a computer. But like a child, I delight in the process of dipping a paintbrush into a blob of paint and creating a brushstroke on a canvas or board. Most of the artists who inspired me in my formative years were painters and I guess I will always be wired that way. There is so much to learn!
